STATUE OF PEACE

The Korean Council supported comfort women in regaining their dignity and human right. Although the victims may be able to have a stable daily life economically, psychologically, and culturally, the ultimate healing of the victims is impossible if society's perception of the victims does not change. Therefore, the Korean Council used various ways to provide historical education for the general public, and organized the Wednesday demonstration, which promoted the cause of the "Comfort women" through media to correct people's perception on the issues.
